With only a few more days until release, the WWE 2K22 Showcase mode matches have been revealed. This year the mode is focusing on the career of Rey Mysterio, who’s also the game’s cover Superstar.

There are 12 matches in total that span the famous wrestling career of Rey Mysterio. While most of the matches are of his WWE career, his famous WCW encounter with Eddie Guerrero from 1997 is also included in the mode. Several characters, arenas, and attires are unlocked while progressing through the Showcase mode.

Oddly, the Showcase mode does not include his World Heavyweight Championship victory at WrestleMania 22. For some reason, the game does not include Kurt Angle which is why this match is missing. Rey’s Royal Rumble 2006 victory is also not in the game.

WWE 2K22 releases on March 11, 2022. People that pre-ordered the deluxe edition, they can play the game earlier on March 8, 2022. In case you missed it, you can check out the full launch roster here.
