XDefiant Cheater Gets “Warnings” From Ubisoft but Still Doesn’t Get Banned After More Than 50 Games
For those playing XDefiant, like it or not, there is a cheater problem in the game, which is to be expected from a multiplayer online game. While the shooter does feature an in-game reporting system, it seems reporting someone will just result in warning messages but no actual bans!
This was proven by Specialist_Rain722 who admitted to using cheats, and after playing more than 50 games racking up 100 kills in a match, and getting gold skins for all guns and still hasn’t been banned. They did, however, get a lot of emails from Ubisoft (about 20+).

Does this mean the in-game reporting tool is worthless right now if the game won’t ban cheaters? I honestly don’t know. Perhaps the devs are going to push out bans in waves? If so, then this means a lot of cheaters are running wild now, which will definitely sour the experience for all players.
Don’t forget, console-only crossplay is bugged as well for now, which means console players can’t even turn off crossplay if they want to find matches quickly. Ubisoft has mentioned that this, along with sniper and jumpshotting nerfs are incoming in a patch.
Have you encountered cheaters in XDefiant? Aside from aimbots, what else do they use? We here at MP1st do not — and will never — condone cheating in any game. I mean, why ruin the fun for everyone? Cheaters are the lowest form of gamers, and I honestly have no clue what enjoyment they find in artificially boosting their stats that they know they don’t deserve.
Hopefully, this is something the devs address soon.
