Ark Survival Ascended Update 1.078.036 Brings Fixes to All Platforms on January 29
Studio Wildcard is back with another Ark Survival Ascended update this January 29, and this aims to resolve a few issues once again. Console players will see the download appear as Ark Survival Ascended update 1.078.036, and this new minor patch fixes some annoying gameplay issues.

Ark Survival Ascended Update Released on January 29 Fixes Gloon Issues
v78.36 – Minor Version for Xbox, Windows and PlayStation Clients – 01/29/2026
- Lost Colony map intro female movie, and boss outro updates.
- Removed the requirement to crouch while taming Gloon.
- Added additional HUD text during Wild Gloon taming to indicate remaining Revenants that must be defeated.
- Fixed an issue causing Gloon’s damage to be calculated twice when not in weapon mode
- Increased the number of stacks required to reach Gloon’s maximum damage multiplier from 10 to 30 stacks
- Reduced Gloon’s Eyebeam cooldown from 10 seconds to 8 seconds
- Should block evolving Veilwyn if you are already at max dinos instead of making the evolved dino wild.
