Blue Prince Update 1.006 Brings Patch 1.04 to Consoles, PS5 Sve Rollback Issue Still Not Resolved

Dogubomb’s latest patch for indie puzzle game hit Blue Prince resolves a lot of issues, though sadly, not the one PS5 owners are looking forward to the most. Initially released on PC a few days ago, Blue Prince update 1.006 (complete version 1.006.000) is now out on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and this is the same patch as version 1.04 on PC.

Here’s what’s new for console owners with today’s Blue Prince patch:

Fixes

• Expanded video playback compatibility for even more Steam Deck configurations!
• Azerty keyboards now function correctly while navigating on terminals.
• Azerty keyboards now function correctly while viewing documents (turning pages.)

The next set of fixes included late-game spoilers, so proceed at your own discretion. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

LATE GAME SPOILERS BELOW

• Azerty keyboards now function correctly while moving carts (pushing Z to move fwd)
• Scepter color selection now functions correctly on controller.
• The pinboard map on the last rank now functions correctly on controller.
• We have implemented a different solution for the reported softlock underground, allowing us to restore the position saving for the giant gear from day to day.
• Corrected a few mistakes in text documents that were conflicting with the story’s timeline. Document locations for these changes include Bookshop, Archives, and Shelter.

PS5 Save Rollback Issue

Dogubomb says they are aware of the save issue players have been reporting, and the dev team is working directly with Sony and hopes to have an update about this soon. The developers say anything affecting saves is “very sensitive” so they are taking their time to thoroughly test it.
