Sandfall Interactive is back with another fix-filled patch for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 today, April 9. The developers call this download version 1.5.4, with console gamers seeing it as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 update 1.500.400.

This small file targets an issue with Burn damage reflecting the wrong values, and doesn’t contain any new content.

Owners of the game will see this download as 236 MB on PC, and less than 300 MB on consoles.

The hofix today includes the following fix:

  • Fixed an issue introduced in the last update where damage from Burn was not properly calculated, resulting in much lower damage than intended.

The “last update” Sandfall is referring to is the March update that resolved issues with Photo Mode and more.

That patch also fixed the issues connected to the Sirene fight crash, though it still might be occuring to some.

Some of the other gameplay-related issues sorted out in that update included:

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where loading a save while picking up a journal could cause that journal to disappear permanently and become impossible to collect again.

    • Missing journals are now also restored retroactively when loading affected saves.

  • Fixed a soft lock that could occur, during the Chromatic Glissando encounter in Sirene’s Dress level, when a dead expeditioner equipped with Shortcut and Second Chance pictos was swallowed.
  • Fixed an issue on Gestral Beach where using the Rematch option after losing the volleyball minigame could create a blocked save.
  • Fixed a visual issue where characters affected by Inverted would not have the correct colour effect applied to their eyes.

Based from what Sandfall has said, more fixes are on the way for various issues, though there’s no timetable on when we can expect it to be released.

While nothing has been announced yet, Sandfall did confirm that more games in the franchise are on the way.
