Crimson Desert Update 1.000.428 for August 5 Delivers Equipment Fix via Version 1.16.04
Pearl Abyss has once again released a hotfix for Crimson Desert on all platforms, and this is the third hotfix after the release of the 1.16.0 patch.
Console gamers will see this as Crimson Desert update 1.000.428, and this brings the game to version 1.16.04.
This resolves an issue with equipment, and we’ve also included the past hotfix changes and known issues too.
Crimson Desert Hotfix on August 5 Resolves Equipment Issue via Update 1.000.428
Here is what’s in today’s changelog:
- Fixed an issue where receiving certain equipment and then saving and reloading the game could cause the quantity of other equipment to become incorrect.
The past two hotfixes included:
- Fixed an issue where certain shields would disappear after switching to dual-wielded weapons, saving the game, and then reloading it.
- Fixed an issue where the loading screen persisted or a black screen appeared when loading save data in certain circumstances.
- [AMD] Fixed an issue where graphical issues occurred when enabling Ray Regeneration on a Radeon RX 9070 XT or higher graphics card.
- [Mac] Fixed an issue where the game crashed when running the game on a Mac with MetalFX Denoising Upscaler option enabled.
- Fixed an issue where indoor housing features were unavailable in Housing Mode under certain circumstances.
There are still issues that have yet to be resolved, but they are a lot shorter compared to before.
Crimson Desert Known Issues (as of Aug. 5, 2026)
- Fish being caught while fishing in certain areas are unable to move.
- Greymane faction quests cannot be progressed while playing as Damiane or Oongka.
- If the “Evasion Control” option is set to “Hold,” the default Evasion key still functions even after the Evasion key has been changed.NPCs required for quest progression cannot ride together on Legendary Animal mounts.
- [Mac] When using a keyboard and mouse at certain resolutions, the cursor position differs from the actual furniture placement point.
- [Mac] The colorblind filter is not applied to the UI when “Colorblind Mode” is enabled.
- [PlayStation] The screen may freeze if characters are entered rapidly while using the virtual keyboard to set the name of a pet or horse.
- Please enter characters slowly with brief pauses when changing names. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- On NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPUs, enabling ‘FSR Upscaling’ and ‘Frame Generation’ causes the screen to appear white.
- When using FSR4 upscaling, an issue occurs in rainy environments where rain disappears, or the screen becomes blurry or distorted.
