Developer Mintrocket has pushed out a new Dave the Diver hotfix on consoles and PC, and this improves the controller and input system based on community feedback when playing the Ichiban’s Holiday DLC.

Console gamers will see this download appear as Dave the Diver update 1.28/01.028.000, and this is a minor patch that doesn’t bring in any new content.

Read on for what specifically got fixed by the dev team today.

Dave the Diver Hotfix 1.28/1.028 Improves Control and Button Inputs

Here are the confirmed improvements for today’s hotfx:

ICHIBAN’S HOLIDAY DLC

<Improvements>

Improved the control and button input system based on user feedback

Improved Special Attack activation from simultaneous key input to single key input

  • Keyboard: Ctrl
  • Controller
    • XBOX, Nintendo Switch: B Button
    • PlayStation: O Button
  • Increased character movement speed
  • Reduced delay on character basic attacks
  • Fixed an input issue where pressing jump and attack simultaneously did not work sometimes

That’s about it, which isn’t surprising given most of the patches for the game have been fixes, with the last content drop being the Ichiban’s Holiday DLC, which was released five months ago.
