DOOM Eternal Update 1.27 Sneaks Out This August 22

DOOM Eternal update 1.27 has been released by id Software today on last-gen consoles, while current-gen owners will be prompted to download version 1.011. This is a surprise update, and as such don’t expect much from it. There are mods coming to the PC version as well, which we’ll go more in depth about below.

Bethesda and id Software has not mentioned anything about today’s patch, but there was an update released for the PC version on Aug. 9, which is most likely the same patch we got today for consoles.

• This minor update removes the marketing email opt-in checkbox from the Bethesda.net account creation flow, Umbra logo on legal notices splash screen and other minor changes

That’s about it when it comes to changes. There is the DOOM Eternal PC mod released alongside the Rev 3 patch  preview which we’ve included below for reference.

DOOM Eternal Update 6.66 Rev 3 adds the ability for PC Steam & (soon on) Microsoft Store community members to opt-in to DOOM Eternal: PC Mod Preview. This allows players to browse, download and play mods
