Ghost of Yotei Update 1.101 Fixes New Game Plus Issues
Just a week ago, Sucker Punch Productions released a major update for Ghost of Yotei that introduced New Game Plus alongside a bunch of other new features. Not only that, but it also included a bunch of bug fixes too.
Unfortunately, the introduction of New Game Plus to the game wasn’t a bug-free experience, as some issues managed to come along for the ride. That changes today with the release of Ghost of Yotei update 1.101 (complete version 1.101.000), which is a minor update that aims to fix issues with New Game Plus and more.
This is a minor patch, and as suich, is a small download.
Ghost of Yotei Receives Minor Update on December 4 via Version 1.101
Performance and Stability
- Various rare crash fixes.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue in New Game Plus where the bamboo strike counter would display negative values when looking at the map.
- Fixed a rare bug that would prevent the player from receiving the platinum armor dye when acquiring the platinum trophy across separate save files.
- Bug fixes related to the New Game Plus vendor.
- Bug fixes related to several rare mission soft locks.
Even with the introduction of New Game Plus, there are still a bunch of community-requested features that have yet to be implemented, and even some bugs that have yet to be addressed.
Some of the issues that still persist include:
- Crashing related to memory issues
- Mistranslation of Japanese-English subtitles
- Expert Mode minimal HUD not working as intended
- Enhanced combat cues does not hide cues
- Miike Mode crops wide screen cutscenes hiding faces
- Training Reminders does not work
Outside of bugs, some of the features players have been requesting include:
- FOV (Field of View) slider
- Button to abandon any mission/duel early
- Weapons not unsheathing but automatically appear in Atu’s hand
- Wooden Notices not having a prompt button to read them
- Customize control scheme buttons/weapons swap
- Transmog feature
- Able to hide all HUD for better immersion
While we’re hoping Sucker Punch finally fixes some of the nagging bugs left in the game, we can’t say for certain whether the developers would be willing to add in some of the community-requested features.
Perhaps we’ll get these new features as part of the Legends DLC that’s set to arrive in 2026? One can hope, right?
