God of War Ragnarok Update 6.002 Adjusts Transmog, Gives Access to Black Bear Set
[summaraize]
Santa Monica Studio has pushed out God of War Ragnarok update 6.002 on consoles and PC! This isn’t your standard bug fix patch, as it updates the transmog system, and even dishes out the Black Bear set to everyone.
Those on PS4, this should appear as God of War Ragnarok download version 6.02. For those on PC, you’ll be glad to hear that this patch also removes the mandatory PSN account logins in order to play the game.
God of War Ragnarok’s New Update for January 30 via Patch 6.002 Brings Quality-of-Life Additions
Update to Edit Appearance Feature (AKA Transmog System)
- For all PlayStation and PC players, the Edit Appearance feature (AKA the Transmog system), will no longer require gear to be fully upgraded to level 9 and will instead be available from the beginning of the game.
Armor of the Black Bear Set
Updated PS4 & PS5 Access to the Armor of the Black Bear Set
- After this update, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players will also get access to the Armor of the Black Bear set (no NG+ save required) via the first available Lost Items chest in new and in-progress saves.
PlayStation Network Sign-in Bonus on PC
- When signed into an account for the PlayStation Network when playing God of War Ragnarök on PC, you will gain access to the Armor of the Black Bear set for Kratos at the first Lost Items chest in the Realm Between Realms (previously only accessible in a New Game+ run) and a resource bundle.
This set includes:
- Cloak of the Black Bear (Chest)
- Wraps of the Black Bear (Wrist)
- Belt of the Black Bear (Waist)
The resource bundle includes:
- 500 Hacksilver
- 250 XP
For in-progress save states, you’ll be able to access the armor set and resource bundle in the Lost items chest after the update is applied to your game.
Players who don’t want to login to an account for PlayStation Network while playing Ragnarok on PC, you will still be able to access the Armor of the Black Bear set in a New Game+ run (just like how it was before). No word yet if Santa Monica Studio implemented bug fixes or gameplay adjustments, but if we know more, we’ll update the article.
In other God of War news, a new rumor has surfaced claiming that a new game in the franchise is in development, and it’s set in Egyptian mythology.
