While Embracer already closed down New World Interactive, that hasn’t stopped some of the people behind Insurgency Sandstorm to release a hotfix this May 22. This doesn’t bring in any new content outside of fixes. Read on for the Insurgency Sandstorm update 1.21 patch notes (those on PS5, this will show up as version 1.003).

Update 1.15 – Hotfix #2

Hello Soldiers!

Let’s go full steam ahead and address the elephant in the room here: Update 1.16 is on schedule to release in the Spring and this hotfix is meant to clear the station for its arrival! Hotfix #2 is laying the metaphorical tracks for Update 1.16 to roll into its destination. This means this hotfix is lighter than previous hotfixes in terms of player-facing issues being resolved.

  • All: Fixed an issue where bullet holes weren’t displaying correctly
  • All: Fixed an issue where bullet holes would disappear on certain surfaces
  • All: Fixed an issue where player reports were not functioning correctly
  • Console: Fixed an issue where the scenario vote screen could crash
  • Console: Fixed an issue where players could be unable to change the controller layout
  • PS: Fixed an issue where the “Party Lobby” text in the party invitation window was displayed incorrectly

Just a small note about crossplay: We see a lot of people asking about this feature and whether we are still working on it/when it might be coming. The answer is a resounding YES we are still working on this, and while we don’t have more information for you yet, we will be able to start talking about that in more detail soon!

That’s about it for this Insurgency Sandstorm update. Once the devs release a new one, we’ll let our readers know.
