Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom February Update 1.4.3 Applies Bug Fixes
Nintendo has released an unexpected patch for Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on February 17, and while we’re not expecting any new content, this does come with some gameplay-related bug fixes instead of just handling technical issues.
Given that the last update for the game was in July, I don’t think gamers were expecting Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom update 1.4.3 to be released today.

General
- Fixed an issue causing the Black Hinox in Hyrule Castle to appear as undefeated even after being defeated, preventing players from obtaining the Hinox Monster Medal. By downloading the update data, players will be able to obtain the Hinox Monster Medal.
- Several other issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.
For those unfamiliar with how to update the game, here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Connect your Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch console to the internet.
- From the HOME Menu, select the icon for the software you wish to update without starting the game or application.
- Press the + Button or – Button on your controller. The current version number will display under the software title.
- Select Software Update followed by Via the Internet.
The patch released in July revised the Portuguese text, and it applied fixes on several technical issues that improved the gameplay experience.
