Lords of the Fallen Update 1.111 for August 6 Pulls Friends Pass Bug That Made the Game Free Accidentally
CI Games has released a new game update for Lords of the Fallen, and this is for version 2.5.576, and is out on all platforms today, August 6.
Console gamers will see this download as Lords of the Fallen update 1.111, and this (sadly) fixes an “issue” where the Friends Pass accidentally gave full access to the co-op player.
There are other issues resolved too, with the complete changelog available below.
Lords of the Fallen Shared Co-op Session Where Another Player Got the Game for Free Now Nipped
The issues fixed today and a word of explanation from the devs are available below.
- Fixed an issue where a Free Friends Pass save could incorrectly become a Full Entitlement save after playing in Shared Co-op.
- Retroactively repaired save files that had already been affected by this issue, allowing players to continue their existing playthroughs.
CI Games adds, “This issue could cause the entitlement status associated with a Free Friends Pass save to change incorrectly after participating in a Shared Co-op session. We’ve adjusted the underlying save-handling logic to ensure the correct entitlement status is preserved. Save files affected before this hotfix have also been repaired, allowing existing players to continue their playthroughs without needing to start over.”
There was also a patch released last week that fixed the following issue:
- Fixed a crash in Shared Co-op that could occur while the Host’s and Client’s save files were syncing.
In related news, Lords of the fallen 2 has been delayed to Q1 2027, and this is to further polish the game, and to avoid the glut of releases avoiding Grand Theft Auto 6’s tornado in November.
Speaking of GTA 6, its next trailer will air on Netflix later this month.
