Modern Warfare 3 update for november 10

Sledgehammer Games has pushed out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and MW2 (given both games share the same launcher now with Call of Duty HQ) update for November 10, and this is a server-side patch that aims to fix issues associated with loading the game via the launcher.

Modern Warfare 3 and MW2 Update for November 10 Patch Notes:

Here’s the announcement from Sledgehammer Games via the official Call of Duty Updates Twitter account:

📢 #MW2 #MW3

We’ve released a small update that contains the following bug fixes:

• Fixed an issue where loading into MW2 from MW3 could result in longer load times than intended
• Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when entering the Weapons tab when cross-launching from MW3

Alongside today’s patch, Sledgehammer announced that Karachi has been temporarily been pulled from the Cutthroat game mode due to mixed teams in initial spawns. In other modes, various maps have been pulled, too. Check out the Modern Warfare 3 known issues being investigated by the studio (via the official Sledgehammer Games Trello board):

Multiplayer – Know Issues:

  • Karachi has been temporarily removed from Cutthroat due to mixed teams in initial spawns
  • Quarry, Rundown, and Scrapyard are temporarily removed from Hardpoint due to spawn issues
  • Minimap red dots do not indicate player elevation
  • Bombsite A can be planted from an unintended location on Terminal Search and Destroy
  • After Infil, Field of View can be set higher than expected
  • Upon consuming a 2XP Token, the UI often gets stuck at “Activating Token”

That’s about it. We’re expecting a client-side patch to be released soon, and we won’t be surprised if one drops this coming week.
