Monster Hunter Wilds New Update 1.020.020 Fixes Appearance Bug
[summaraize]
Yesterday, Capcom released Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds, which ushered in new monsters, gameplay balance changes and more. This also dragged in a significant bug, which was triggered whenever players checked the menus for appearance.
Capcom acknowledged the issue, and we surmised that this would need a patch to resolve, which is what we’re getting now with Monster Hunter Wilds update 1.020.020, that’s live on all platforms.
Read on for the exact improvement made by the developers.
Monster Hunter Wilds Equipment Appearance Crashing Issues Resolved With Patch Ver. 1.020.01.00
Here’s what’s new per Capcom:
- Fixed an issue that would cause the game to crash when selecting “Equipment Appearance” or “Palico Equipment Appearance” from the Appearance Menu in your tent.
- – Fixed an issue where using an insect glaive Focus Strike on Rey Dau could cause you to disconnect from the network.
- – Fixed an issue where the rewards from investigations that included Lagiacrus or Seregios would sometimes be less than intended.
- Steam®
– Fixed an issue where the frame rate could become unstable when having a ranged weapon equipped.
The other issues yet to be addressed, according to Capcom include:
- The text for the Cosmetic DLC Pass is not displayed correctly in the Claim Content menu at the Support Desk. (PS5 only)
- If adjustments have been made to the Keyboard Configuration settings before the update, keys assigned to Ascend and Descend for Underwater Controls may have duplicate control binds. (Steam only)
*To avoid this issue, open the Keyboard Configuration settings and reassign the key that shares a control assignment with Ascend/Descend.
We have no word yet on when we’ll receive an update to address those issues, but we’ll let our readers know once we have more information.
