No Man's Sky New Update 7.04

Hello Games is back with another fix-filled patch for No Man’s Sky’s Cosmos update. Called the version 7.04 patch, current-gen console gamers will see this as No Man’s Sky update 7.004, and this brings a slew of fixes.

Players can expect mission issues to be fixed, as well as technical issues with text in expeditions to be sorted out and more.

There’s a lot to take in, so read on for the list below, which we’ve separated per category.

No Man’s Sky Receives New Round of Fixes on September 22

Mission Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the first Atlas Path mission to repeatedly select itself.
  • Fixed an issue that caused untranslated text IDs to appear in a conversation with Iterations Gemini and Hesperus.
  • Fixed a minor text issue during fishing missions if the Fishing Rig is not yet known.
  • Resolved a number of issues with collection and completion with deep-space salvage missions that could occur when having multiple of the same mission type active.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent In Stellar Multitudes from recognising the installation of the Atlantid Drive if playing with Crafting set to Free in difficulty settings.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause mission markers on the Space Anomaly to fail to load if the game was saved on the Anomaly itself.
  • Fixed an issue that caused platform-specific text to be missing from the developer notes gathered from the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the new reward ships claimed during the Our Journey Continues expedition to charge nanites.

Our Journey Continues Expedition Fixes

  • Fixed a text issue in the Worlds II milestone of the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Improved the visual effects of the vintage Sentinel Interceptor ship awarded by the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented legacy space stations from appearing on the Star System Map during the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed an issue in the Voyagers milestone of the Our Journey Continues expedition that prevented the location of a Corvette Workshop from being indicated with a marker.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Nexus missions related to creature taming and fishing to be offered to the player during the Beyond milestone in the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed Corvettes to teleport to and get stuck in legacy space stations during the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed a text issue that caused the Weekend Missions milestone of the Our Journey Continues expedition to suggest looking for Knowledge Stones in the Analysis Visor on planets with no Knowledge Stones.
  • Fixed an issue that could block players on the Our Journey Continues expedition if they traded away their Multi-Tool before reaching the Beyond milestone. The Terrain Manipulator blueprint is now known by default.

Spawn and Space Base Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that limited the number of space stations which could be claimed by one player.
  • Improved corvette spawn location when teleporting to a space base.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the hint message about refunded corvette modules to persist after it was no longer relevant.
  • Improved the collision for external Space Station decorations, fixing an issue that could cause ships to bump into invisible collision on very large parts.
  • Fixed an issue that caused corvette landing docks to appear on civilian frigates.
  • Fixed an issue which caused incorrect input processing on some VR controllers.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some points of interest in deep space to have a disproportionately huge explosion when destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Oceanus’ creature training battles to open the freighter inventory transfer page.

Navigation, UI Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause frigates around deep-space points of interest to spawn either too far away or intersecting with an object.
  • Fixed an issue that caused incorrect scaling of UI elements in the Analysis Visor when playing with HUD disabled.
  • Improved formatting for alliance leader board numbers.
  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused incorrect ambient audio in space.
  • Fixed an issue causing overly loud audio in places.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented portals from displaying all of their visual effects when activated.
  • Introduced a number of improvements to creature navigation and IK.
  • Fixed a visual issue affecting volumetrics from space and planetary clouds on Mac.

Memory Fixes

  • Fixed a memory crash.
  • Fixed a rare hang during reload.
  • Fixed an audio threading crash.
  • Improved memory usage on XboxOne.
  • Improved memory usage on Switch 2.

Gameplay Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause underwater particles to appear visible even when the player is not in the water.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Space Anomaly interior to appear foggy when it was placed inside planetary rings.
  • Fixed an issue that could display a third-person character model before unlocking third person in the Our Journey Continues expedition.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent salvage from being pulled inside your corvette.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from adding the vintage interceptor to their ship collection without exchanging it with another ship.
  • Fixed an issue that caused incorrect positioning of log snippets from derelict freighters.
  • Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented the player’s first restored purple system from being promoted to the top of the teleporter destination list during In Stellar Multitudes.
  • Fixed a rare issue that caused the portal in the Waking Titan milestone of the Our Journey Continues expedition to take the player to an incorrect destination.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the sky to flicker during the initilaisation sequence.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some rare space hulk salvage items to fail to spawn.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the reminder to hatch a companion egg to fire when there were no free pet slots.
  • Fixed an issue that caused productivity increases to settlements to actually decrease the rate at which it produces items.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause settlement debt to suddenly become approximate 2 billion units.
  • Fixed a number of issues that could cause settlement buildings to fail to spawn construction terminals, blocking progress.
  • Fixed an issue that caused ships to slow rapidly on leaving the Space Anomaly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Echo Locator reminder to fire repeatedly.
