Resident Evil Requiem First Update 1.110 Released
Capcom has released the first post-release patch for Resident Evil Requiem and it’s a lot bigger than expected. Given the game isn’t a live service title, we’re not expecting anything major from patches outside of fixes — especially this early on.
Console gamers will see this download appear as Resident Evil Requiem update 1.110 (complete version 1.110.000), and it clocks in at 1.078 GB on PS5 and 1.4 GB on PC (Steam).
Read on what’s new in the horror hit’s first-ever post-release title update.

So far, Capcom hasn’t acknowledged today’s update just yet, though we’re expecting that to change very soon.
Some of the things that got changed:
- Drainage room, black artefacting when zombie bodies drop are now fixed
- Broke RE framework support for mods, so don’t be surprised to see crashes
- At least on PC, game is now required to be connected online to Steam to play
Some of the issues the game is suffering from, which we can’t 100% verify if it’s fixed wth today’s update or not:
- W870 Police shotgun visual glitch after updating the weapon’s stock
- Game crashing when changing upscaling settings on PC
- Frame rate drops when interacting with certain objects or opening and closing item chests
- White spots with high ray-tracing on
Once Capcom releases the full changelog, expect the article to be updated with the info.

What? ‘Connected online to play’ isn’t true at all. Played offline just now, works just fine.
Hi there,
I wasss wondering why my game crashed at startup but that is because .. before the update the game did not allow mods. You had to install an external framework. Now that the update rolled out yesterday 3/4, crashed on startup with the external mod in place.
Removed it from the RE9 Local Folder tried again and no luck. Now I’m having to remove the game completely and do a fresh re install. Hope this works lol
I thought the update would completely remove all mod capability there for a bit

I thought the update would completely remove all mod capability there for a bit. I’m guessing I was able to play it all afternoon yesterday since the update was going on in the background
