Sonic X Shadow Generations Update 1.011 Speeds Out
SEGA has released Sonic X Shadow Generations update 1.011 on current-gen platforms, and this is the game’s first post-release patch. Note that upon checking, the download isn’t live on last-gen platforms, though that could change soon.
Sonic X Shadow Generations Update 1.011 Is Now Out on PS5
SEGA hasn’t mentioned anything about today’s patch just yet, and given it’s not available on last-gen, Upon our inspection, the patch isn’t PS5 Pro-related as well, since there’s no new settings implemented in the game post-update.
The PC version did get patched last week, and it rolled out the following fixes:
- Fixed issue where when a device (controller, mouse, headset, keyboard) was inserted or removed while Sonic Generation was booting up, the game would crash.
- Fixed issue where if a monitor’s resolution options exceed 32+ options, the game would crash when you would open the Options menu in Shadow Generations.
- Error message now displayed when game crashes on PCs that are not compatible with AVX.
We’ve reached out to SEGA to ask what the patch is about, though don’t be surprised if we don’t hear anything about it.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is out on last-gen, current-gen platforms and PC, and is faring quite well currently. It’s sitting at an 80 average on Metacritic, with a user average of 90, while on Open Critic, it’s labeled as “Strong,” with over 86% of critics recommending it.
