GSC Game World has issued another fix for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl today, and this is another minor patch that aims to improve the game’s performance.

Console gamers will see this as STALKER 2 update 1.022, and this brings the game to version 2.0.6. Expect this to be a small download across all platforms.

Here’s what got fixed today per the developers:

  • Backported several fixes for AMD GPU-related crashes.
  • >Fixed several other high-priority crashes.

 WARNING

The Zone is ever-changing, and a new update can shift Her structure. If you’ve chosen to walk the path with modifications, know this: they may not withstand the latest shifts. If you have performance or stability issues following the release of a new update, we recommend you to disable your mods. If you continue to experience issues, please visit https://support.stalker2.com/hc for additional troubleshooting steps and assistance.

Please, if you face an unexpected “anomaly” that is not supposed to be in the game, report it to our Technical Support Center. Our colleagues will take a closer look at it to annihilate and destroy the danger to the Zone.

If you see today’s patch as lacking, don’t forget, last week the devs released a patch that housed over 200 fixes. For reference, here are 10 from the lot that stood out.

  1. Fixed multiple mission progression blockers — including objectives failing to start or complete in missions such as Dangerous Way, The Price of a Miracle, In the Heart of the Iron Forest, and Cost of Hope.
  2. Fixed performance drops during the Arena mass fight, Monorail location, Perimeter Dam, and Uninvited Guests mission.
  3. Fixed an issue where the player could become stuck in several mission-critical areas, including an elevator shaft, behind containers, and during dialogue.
  4. Fixed the night cycle getting stuck, which could prevent the Zone’s time progression from functioning correctly.
  5. Fixed major NPC and enemy spawning issues, including abnormal Monolith spawn rates, excessive monster/NPC spawns, missing NPCs, and enemies spawning inside objects.
  6. Fixed several potentially game-breaking mission-state issues, including Mavka dying when she shouldn’t, Zulu disappearing, Korshunov teleporting, and Boroda/Sultan disappearing after Three Captains.
  7. Added more autosaves during Moving in the Shadows, providing additional protection against progression problems during the mission.
  8. Fixed the player taking damage from hunger after sleeping, addressing an unintended survival mechanic issue.
  9. Fixed controller stick sensitivity on PC, resolving an issue with overly sensitive left and right analog sticks.
  10. Fixed major anomaly and environmental issues, including emissions suddenly changing to clear weather, rain particles disappearing after loading, and anomalies appearing suddenly in front of the player.

Once another patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.
