Star Wars: Galactic Racer First Hotfix Speeds Out on October 12 via Update 1.004.003
While Star Wars: Galactic Racer was just released last week, Fuse Games wasted no time in making sure the critically acclaimed racing game receives support as fast as it can.
Today, players on both consoles and PC can download Star Wars: Galactic Racer update 1.004.003, which is the game’s first hotfix.
Given this is a hotfix more than a standard update, don’t expect much from it.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer First Update Released on October 12
The small file download is available on PC and consoles now, and does the following per Fuse, “We’ve release a hotfix that includes general stability fixes.”
While crashing and stability has been improved, there are still a few nagging issues that need to be patched out, and we’ve included the official list of known issues acknowledged by Fuse Games below.
General Issues
- Very rarely the Autopilot will guide the vehicle to an inaccessible route.
- The Player does not always get a notification about corruption of their save file.
UI & Input Issues
- Interface Scale resets to 50% after restarting the title on Steam and Steam Deck.
- The controller scheme diagram doesn’t display the steam controller in the UI when playing on Steam Machine.
- Incorrect glyphs appear for the controls using the Steam controller when playing on Steam Machine.
General Multiplayer Issues
- Rarely a player might be kicked back to the Main Menu at the beginning of the race during a Quick Podrace.
- Opening Settings & Accessibility after starting a Multiplayer Tour can change the customization of the selected vehicle.
- When spectating, the player may experience the camera displaying a vehicle upside down and/or under the track.
Multiplayer Matchmaking and Parties Issues
- If the player’s internet disconnects during a race while they are in a Party and reconnects in the Main Menu, the player does not fully reconnect to the same party.
PC Specific Issues
- Changing the Display Mode to Fullscreen and switching focus between apps causes the game monitor to blink and the system becomes highly irresponsive.
- Disabling the resizable bar on Intel Arc A580 GPU results in the display flickering and images becoming distorted.
- MSAA upscale currently doesn’t function as expected.
- The EOS overlay will not display on Steam Deck, making the game appear to hang. Press ‘B’ to cancel and return to the game.
- Issues with NVIDIA 50 series cases when using Frame Generation and DLSS which can cause the game to crash.
Expect a beefier patch to be released, and once it’s out, we’ll have it up on the site.
