The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Update 2.001 Adds New Chronological Mode, Uncharted Skins and Even PS5 Pro Fixes
Out of nowhere, Naughty Dog has pushed out a new patch for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, and it’s one feature-filled patch. In The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered update 2.001, players will be greeted with the new Chronological mode that lets you play the story in chronological order.
Not only that, but completing it also grants the players new Uncharted-themed skins!
For those on PC, this will show up as The Last of Us 2 Remastered patch version 1.5. If you own a PS5 Pro, this patch also slots in fixes for texture issues that loaded slowly.

New Content
- Added the new Chronological mode
- Introduced UNCHARTED-themed No Return skins for Joel and Tommy as cosmetic rewards for completing Chronological mode
- Implemented trophies related to Chronological mode
- Added the new credits sequence, specific to PC release, onto PS5
General
- [PlayStation 5 Pro] Fixed an issue where certain textures were loading slowly during the chapter “Hostile Territory”
- Addressed an issue where in-game DualSense Edge settings would be locked if the user had customized controller settings in the PlayStation operating system
- Fixed an issue where enabling 3D Spatial Sound with headphones could cause some sound effects to be louder than intended
- Minor audio improvements
Gameplay
- Addressed an issue where weapons could be displayed incorrectly on characters during cutscenes
- Fixed an issue where collected Journal entries would sometimes vanish after exiting the game
No Return
- Fixed an issue where character portraits could be missing from the Daily Run leaderboard
- Addressed an issue where chained clickers would become freed by thrown molotovs at unrealistic distances
- Addressed an issue where players could squeeze through a wall unintentionally during some Holdout levels
- Fixed an issue where players were getting the gambit “Get three kills with explosive arrows” in situations where they could not complete it
Localization
- Various minor localization fixes across multiple languages
- Various minor Text-to-Speech fixes across multiple languages
