TopSpin 2K25 Update 1.09 Smashes Out for Season 2 Data This June 19
Hangar 13 has released TopSpin 2K25 update 1.09 (PS5 version 1.009), and this is for the Season 2 data! While Season 2 starts tomorrow, June 20, we can now check what changes are incoming, and of course, the new content. Read on for what’s new in TopSpin 2K25’s latest update this June 19.

TopSpin 2K25 Update Version 1.009
Game Content:
- New Pro-Player: World No. 1 Jannik Sinner
- New Venue: G-Court, which was co-created with Gucci
- New Tennis Styles (animations)
- New Pre-Match animations, Messages, and Titles
- New Cosmetics: Several MyPlayer tops, bottoms, outfits, and shoes, including Gucci tennis apparel, and more!
- New Pro Outfits
- New Season 2 Centre Court Pass
Quality of Life Adjustments:
- Power attribute balancing updates to close the power gap between players with a medium power attribute and a high power attribute
- Added Line Call Review option to replay menu
- Added handling of player forfeit for disconnecting after a match is created but not started
- Tweaks to AI difficulty to improve the dynamic quality of gameplay
- Tweaks to UI for rewards and Centre Court Pass progression
- Tweaks to UI Game Helpers
- Updated World Tour and 2K Tour match formats to:
- 3 Sets Per Match
- 3 Games Per Set
- Last Set is a Super Tie-Break
- Added new Pro Outfit section in the Cosmetics tab of the Pro Shop
Game Adjustments:
- Steam Deck-specific optimizations and improvements
- Addressed reported concerns related to unpausing coach objectives
- Addressed reported concerns related to transitioning to a match with Court Comms active.
- Addressed reported concern related to normal serve objective where medium serves were not counted towards the goal
- Addressed reported concerns related to a scenario where AI may fail to return the ball when in a good position
- Updated the game objective trigger logic to ensure rewards are given appropriately
- Minor tweaks to texture compression quality in various locations
- Various minor polish for in-game courts and cosmetics
- Server optimizations and improvements
Concerns We Are Investigating:
- Serve Balancing: Exploring adjustments to limit the frequency and ease of hitting highly effective wide serves for players with low/medium serve attributes
- Fatigue Balancing in MyCAREER:
- Investigating improvements to the user interface to better communicate the chances of getting injured before each match
- Assessing changes to make it easier to progress in tournaments without getting too low on energy or injuries
- Clay Court Improvements: Looking into removing slides on clay when returning a serve
As Season 2 approaches, please be aware that rank modes such as World Tour and 2K Tour will be down for scheduled maintenance ahead of Season 2 during the following dates/times:
