World War Z New Update for All Platforms Is a Hotfix for Extinction Access

Last month, Saber Interactive released a major content drop for World War Z that saw players get the free Extinction content. Unfortunately, there were also issues that plagued some players from accessing the free DLC, though that should be fixed with today’s title update. Console gamers should be able to download World War Z update 1.60 and this aims to resolve that issue.

Those on current-gen, you’ll also see the patch as WWZ update 1.023, and this also fixes that same issue with the Extinction access.

World War Z Update 1.60 Patch Released This October 29 to Fix Extinction Access

The lone item in the patch notes is:

• Fixed the issue where some players weren’t able to play the Extinction mode.

There are no front-facing changes from this title update — at least according to what Saber Interactive has shared.

If you haven’t played the game in a while, here’s a list of the new content included in the free Extinction patch:

New Content

• Added the Arizona map to the Horde Mode XL Challenge mode
• Added a new challenge mode – Extinction
• Added skins for Heavy weapons for completing Extinction Mode
• Added new mutators: Myopia, Grenadier, Plague Creatures, Angry turrets, Class Advantage and Mass contamination!
• Added Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack DLC
