50GB? Seriously? What’s with all these CoD games taking up so much HDD space? I remember I bought Black Ops on the PS Store a few years ago and it was 18GB, something I didn’t expect from a CoD game. But 50GB? Holy f*ck.

    • James K

I was skeptical with these requirements when Nvidia posted it two weeks ago. I thought it for maximum performance but now it’s not the case.

      Still, it’s odd.

  • Brian

Oh so the specs that activision support say were fake are actually official. Gotcha.

Specs are quite low though I expected lower for a call of duty title. I think they pulled that 50GB HDD space & 6GB of ram from nowhere though.

  • James Horn

That 50gb just throws me off putting it on my harddrive.

    • marpla78

Just the base game is 50gb??? thats a lot, with all the expansions BF3 was 30-33 if im not wrong. I know that most of the people have lot of drives with lots of room but 50 gb is a bit too much.

      • born2expire

50gb is a lot real estate on a SSD

        • Delta8A

IT IS too much for my precious SSD

        • DanDustEmOff

Move it to a HDD when you’re finished with it. I keep my SSD clean anyways, just the OS, Steam Origin, 4 maybe 5 games at max and someback ground programs

      • Jeff Kazimer

killzone for ps4 has download size of 60gb if you download from games on demand…..and MS wanted everyones games to be downloadable. That 500 GB HD would be full in no time.

        • Wrathchildx666x

You have to install the game to your HD with PS4 also

          • NinoBr0wn

Yoshida said you can if you want to.

  • awkenney

Aside from the 50GB requirement, I was actually hoping that the processor and GPU recommended requirements would be a little higher, even after optimization. What these specs tell me is that the changes to the engine probably won’t be as amazing as it needs to be.

    • DanDustEmOff

Thats the minimum they recommend a GTX 780.

      • teo2cry

        That is old unofficial information

        • DanDustEmOff

          They got everything else right.

  • Delta8A

And that makes it what? The largest size game file ever?

    • NinoBr0wn

      Nope.

  • Jon Manning

I don’t think the base game is 50GB guys, perhaps they are putting 50GB as it is what will be required if you plan on buying all the DLC. if the base game was say 20GB and they were planning on releasing 5 pieces of dlc all around the 6gb mark that would easily take a required space to 50GB. just something to take into consideration

    • lukazo

i dont think it will be 50gb tbh it probably be there just to make sure there enough space i imagine the base game being no more than 15gb max and dlc anouther 5 to 10gb on top

  • Lê Hoàng Kwan

50gb make me remember what Logan said in X-men First Class…

  • Kyle Jackson

6gb ram? We shall have to see about that.

  • PertAndPopular

Um that’s the same specs Nvida said…I thought those were wrong?

  • iSpiRiiT

    50gb HDD?, 6 GB Ram?.
    i have only 4gb.

Ok that’s it i’m buying BF4 instead. Not only because of teamwork.
But really cod ghosts is a waste of space.

    • Craig

BF4 is much more graphics intensive

      • iSpiRiiT

Have you read the system requirements for BF4?. It’s actually less intensive than cod ghosts.

        • Craig Barlettani

I can pretty much guarantee you that won’t be the case

          • iSpiRiiT

Tried both games on my craptop. Runs BF4 fine. Cod Ghosts. Wont launch because the need of 6 gb ram.

            • Craig Barlettani

It’s because they didn’t optimize the game

  • theplantain

will my old Dell that i played Quake 3 on back in the day, be able to play this?

  • Brian
    • Johnny Neat

It’s like people post on here without reading the comments.

  • PertAndPopular

This game runs on ps3 and xbox 360…I think this is bullshit and probably for only the highest settings.

    • ChrisBChillin

You do know that all of the textures were made for the computer, then redone for the Xbox One and PS4 and then redone for the 360 and PS3 right? So I believe these specs.

  • leeroy_newman

Wow, 50 go of dogs and fishes, i am impressed activision.

  • 8inister

Oversized textures don’t impress me because they’re still on a crap engine. Sorry, no.

    • James Mulhall

The engine has nothing to do with it..

  • betosobreira

Bring it on! 256gb SSD !

  • AtheistMason

Well I had a chat with my Activision buddy again. That 50GB HDD space means 50GB is needed to install the game (and future expansions) but the base game is much smaller. So if anyone is running low on free space (but enough for the game, e.g 30GB), I would advise you to move some files away to another drive first and move it back after installation to ensure there will be no problems related with disk space.

Also this specs above is the Recommended specs. The minimum requires 460Ti graphics card with 4GB RAM.

  • BroJ

So the PS1 will play this?

  • Kevin Teeple

    I’ve got an NVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 560 Ti :-)

  • nun

can anyone post the game files list…would like to see if there is a proper dedicated server exe
