While Sony announced yesterday that the PlayStation 4 version of Fortnite will allow for cross-platform play (in beta right now), don’t expect Bethesda’s upcoming online Action RPG, Fallout 76 to be in the same boat.
Over on Twitter, Bethesda SVP of Global Marketing Pete Hines announced that Fallout 76 cross-play is not happening, and he’s not sure if it ever will.
Folks, chill. I work with a lot of devs and games for whom this is important going forward.
Fallout 76 does not support crossplay, for a number of reasons. I have no idea if it ever will. But I assure you it is not on our radar right now as we focus on B.E.T.A. and Launch.

That’s a bummer. no? Well, there’s a chance it could be patched it, which is all fans can hope for at this point.
Additionally, Bethesda has released the official in-game Fallout 76 intro! As one can expect, the art style is very Fallout-ish, and has a ton of classic appeal.
