Borderlands 2 – Patch V1.1.3 Available Now For PC, Patch Notes

For those of you vault hunters that are currently playing Borderlands 2 on the PC platform, expect to be greeted by the newest patch recently released by the good folks over at Gearbox Software the next time you boot up.

This new patch is set to include a handful of fixes that have been of a concern to the Borderlands 2 community, as well give you guys something else to do. Gearbox is giving you the ability to manually reset your completed challenges, once you’ve completed 85% of all challenges, that is, so that you can re-live those moments of victory once again.

If you’re wondering what exactly is included in this patch, Gearbox has released the patch notes for you right here:

Update v1.1.3 (Released 10/25/2012)

  • Added a toggle for whether textures should fade or pop in when a higher-resolution version loads. High-end computers can disable this to avoid seeing lower-resolution textures streaming in.
  • Added the ability to reset all challenge progress for a character once they’ve completed 85% of all non-DLC, non-area-specific challenge levels. This will keep the player’s current challenge bonuses and rank, but reset all challenge progress to 0 and allow challenges to be re-completed for additional ranks and bonuses. Resetting is available on the “challenges” screen of the status menu and will display as a tooltip at the bottom of the screen if the player has met the criteria.
  • Fixed a bug where profile files set to “read only” were not being saved.
  • Fixed a performance issue in Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty content with PhysX set to Medium or High.

If you’re having issues obtaining patch v1.1.3, you can manually shut down your Steam client and start it back up to download it. As of now, Gearbox hasn’t release any information if this same patch is currently at certification at Microsoft and Sony.
