Call of Duty: Ghosts – Dedicated Servers On Xbox One Confirmed, Other Platforms “Unknown”

Gamescom 2013 has finally kicked off and to start, Microsoft and Activision today revealed that Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Xbox One will receiving dedicated servers, via the Xbox One’s Cloud.

No details whether this was an exclusive on the Xbox One, as Microsoft did not mention that the Xbox One would be the only platform to have dedicated servers. It should be noted that Call of Duty titles on PC have had dedicated servers for quite some time now, and while there hasn’t been confirmation about the PlayStation 4 version, it should be noted that the console does support cloud function as the Xbox One does.

We should be hearing more about this later today, but what do you guys think? Pretty big step from the player-to-player connection that the title has been using for years now.
