Crimson Desert's Next Update

Last week, Pearl Abyss revealed that a slew of updates is set to hit Crimson Desert from this month to June. These aren’t just updates focused on patches, as the devs aim to release new features as well.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait long to see one of these major patches drop, as one is promised to be released soon, and it will include a slew of new features, such as new difficulty settings.

Crimson Desert Next Update Preview Confirms New Features

Pearl Abyss didn’t put a date as to when the next update will be released, but we assume it’ll be sometime this coming week.

Some of the confirmed features to be applied include:

  • Addition of a keyboard/mouse and controller preset
  • Difficulty settings
  • Category tabs for player inventory
  • Distant scenery quality improvements

The reason it’s not available right now is due to Pearl Abyss testing and polishing it before releasing the patch onto the wild.

Also of note, since the patch will feature distant scenery quality improvements, the developers have confirmed this patch will be “larger than our previous ones,” so better clear some hard disk space just to be sure.

When it comes to difficulty settings, Pearl Abyss has confirmed that “Easy, normal, and hard difficulty options will allow players to adjust combat difficulty for their preferences.”

There are a lot more new features and improvements planned, which are outlined in the dev update.

Same as before, once the patch is out, expect it here on MP1st.

In other gaming news related to open-world RPG games, The Blood of Dawnwalker in development by Rebel Wolves, has been confirmed to be playable from start to finish on PS5, and will use zero AI in development. For those unaware, Rebel Wolves is comprised of former developers of CD Projekt RED, so it’s easy to understand why the game is getting a ton of hype, even if it’s a new IP.
