Last week, DICE unveiled the Battlefield 6 roadmap for 2026, which gave us an overview of the upcoming seasons and what to expect. As expected, the player base had concerns and questions about it.

Today, the devs shared a roadmap update and what the key areas the studio is focusing on, as well as details on the re-imagined Rolmud map and more.

Bear in mind, this isn’t the devs changing tack or deviating from the roadmap, but rather, them addressing community concerns.

In a new announcement on the official Battlefield Discord server, DICE outlined some of the community concerns and feedback from the roadmap.

Some of the questions that keep surfacing from the community that are acknowledged include:

  • We’re actively exploring improvements to the combat experience, with gunplay as a primary focus, and will continue iterating on these changes with player feedback through Battlefield Labs
  • Ranked play will be available at the start of Season 3 in REDSEC BR Quads, MP Ranked arrives later this year
  • Railway to Golmud is larger than Operation Firestorm
  • Server Browser details are still being finalized, but it’s a priority for us to talk about as soon as they’re ready

DICE confirms Season 3 is “just around the corner,” so that means a reveal is imminent, Starting next week, the developers will be taking a deep dive into Railway to Golmud and how it’s been reimainged for Battlefield 6.

Changes planned for land vehicles to mak them more consistent, responsive and viable in a wider variety of engagements will also be discussed.

Once May rolls around, DICE will walk players through Ranked Play to prep and set expectations when Season 3 launches

Once we know more about Season 3, expect it here on MP1st.
