Battlefield 6 Area 51 Map Has a UFO Easter Egg and There’s Even a Reward Tied to Finding It
With the launch of Season 5 for Battlefield 6, not only did players receive new maps, weapons and more, DICE has also snuck in some Easter eggs too!
Given Season 5 has maps set in Vegas, DICE has placed this Easter egg on the Area 51 map, and as one might expect, it is tied to aliens.
We don’t need to guess: thanks to imaginative individuals, this Easter egg has already been cracked, and what’s even better is that there’s an in-game reward for discovering it.
Ready, ready on!
Battlefield 6 Area 51 Easter Egg Tutorial to See the UFO
YouTuber DANNYonPC has uploaded a tutorial of the UFO Easter egg in Area 51, which lasts for about four minutes.
If you’d rather read about it than watch, check out this step-by-step guide by the folks from the Battlefield Easter Eggs Discord (via BF Bulletin):
Instructions
- Buttons can be found behind boxes (use your knife) and have appeared beside towers.
- Each tower has a number (see map).
- Check starting status of tower lights.
- Entering the right sequence with buttons opens the door, revealing a control room.
- There is an activation button front right, letting the screens come online.
- The Morse translates to
INT RDRSUNDRGRND(as shown in the image; the text may be abbreviated or unclear). - Big screen shows sequence of symbols (always the same).
- Use puzzle solver tool to find correct sequence and change all lights to green.
- Once all eight lights are green, go to locked door in tunnels near Objective F.
- Keypad should be green if all lights are correct. Interact to open.
- Go into control room and interact with radio at the front of the room to turn on the screens.
- The symbols on the monitor correspond to the order of eight button presses:
- Empty Circle
Empty Triangle
Empty Square
Empty Diamond
Filled Circle
Filled Triangle
Filled Square
Filled Diamond
Button Locations
- Button 1
- Button 2
- Button 3
- Button 4
- Button 5
- Button 6
- Button 7
- Button 8
It’s surprising to see this cracked in just a day! Hopefully, DICE has hidden more secrets in Season 5 to spice things up.
While the Easter egg (and corresponding weapon charm reward) is nice and all, it’s kind of dampened by the evidence that Battlefield 6’s Season 5 cosmetics in the Battle Pass were made by AI, and not a very good one at that.
