Minecraft Update on May 14 Applies Patch 3.38
Mojang has released the latest hotfix for Minecraft today, May 14, and this brings the game to version 26.21. As on might expect, this is a patch aimed at fixing issues with the Chaos Cubes update released a week ago.
Note that this patch doesn’t fix all the issues, but it does resolve the UI freezing bug when opening a furnace. Console gamers will see this download as Minecraft update 3.38, and this should be a small download.

Minecraft’s Latest Update Fixes Furnace Freeze Issue
Here is the confirmed list of fixes included in today’s patch.

- Various bug fixes and improvements
User Interface
- Fixed a freeze when opening a furnace without recipes
Stability and Performance
- Fixed Several crashes that could occur during gameplay
- Fixed a crash that could occur on launch
- Fixed a crash when clicking the ‘Search for people’ button while not signed in (MCPE-235488)
There’s also a fix rolled out as part of the game’s technical updates.
Blocks
- Fixed block traits not respecting experimental requirements for
format_version >= 1.26.20
