Star Trek: Shadow Frontier Is a Darker Take on the Franchise by Bloober
Bloober Team wasn’t kidding around when they said the studio want more than just two projets gestating at a time, as the development studio has announced yet another new game this week, and it’s based on the Star Trek franchise.
Titled “Star Trek: Shadow Frontier,: the game isn’t your standard Star Trek title, as this one leans more into the horror aspect. Shadow Frontier is being developed by Bloober and is published by Paramount Games — a newly formerd division of entertainment powerhouse, Paramount.
There’s a new title that hints at the direction Bloober is taking the IP.
Star Trek Franchise’s New Game Is a Mature, Psychological Thriller
Shadow Frontier is confirmed for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s a third-person, mature story driven action-adventure game that seemingly has horror elements based on the reveal trailer.
Gamers will play as Ro Laren, who will traverse a distant planet that’s “overtaken by a strange consciousness.”
