Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Development Might Be Further Along Than We Think, Job Listing Suggests
The June State of Play and the rest of the Summer Game Fest events came and went without any sign of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, despite it being one of the most anticipated upcoming games.
Many fans are eager to see more of the game, and now a new clue suggests that its release may not be too far away.
As spotted by Tech4Gamers, Naughty Dog’s newest job listing is looking for quality assurance testers across multiple languages.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Could Arrive Before PS6

According to the job listing, there are five positions available, with responsibilities that include supporting different language versions of Intergalactic, including French, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Korean.
The timing of these job openings is interesting. While testing can happen at different stages of development, this kind of work is often done when a game is getting close to release.
This suggests that Intergalactic is moving toward the final stretch of development, with intensive testing and localization work still underway.
Tech4Gamers also believes the game could launch in 2027. While that is still speculation, there are other reasons to think it may be possible. Journalist Jason Schreier previously said that Intergalactic was targeting a release around the middle of next year, although plans can always change.
There is also the possibility, although considered unlikely, that the testing positions are for another unannounced Naughty Dog project. For now, we can hope that the rumors claiming Intergalactic will be a PlayStation 6 game remain just rumors and that the title arrives in 2027.
In other news, Sony has confirmed that it will keep first-party single-player games exclusive to PlayStation, while multiplayer titles like Helldivers 2 and Marathon will still launch on PC.
