Aside from Destiny 2, the other Bungie game, Marathon, is also being brought offline today, July 7.

This downtime for the extraction shooter is for a few hours, and is being done to release update 1.1.0.4.

Tuesday, July 7, 2026 — Scheduled Maintenance for Update 1.1.0.4

8:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will undergo maintenance.
  • Sign-on will be unavailable.
  • Players actively in runs will be able to complete them.
8:15AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon will begin being brought offline for expected maintenance.
  • Players will start being removed from activities.
9:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • The latest Marathon update is expected to become available across all platforms and regions.

10:00 AM PDT

UTC-7
  • Players are expected to be able to log back into Marathon.*
  • Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
11:00 AM PDT UTC-7
  • Marathon maintenance is expected to conclude.
  • Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update.
  • Players who observe issues should report to the Marathon Help Forum.
