Marathon Update 1.036 Brings Vault Breaker on October 20 via Patch 1.1.9.5
As part of today’s maintenance, Bungie has pushed out the latest game update for Marathon, and this brings the game to version 1.1.9.5.
PS5 gamers will see the download as Marathon update 1.036 | 01.036.000, and this brings the Vault Breaker event starting today!

Vault Breaker
- Vault Breaker will be available from October 20 to November 10.
Vault Breaker Armory
Tier 1 Repeatable Offers
- Materials Pack 1: Stock decreased from 5 per week to 2 per week.
- Materials Pack 2: Stock decreased from 5 per week to 2 per week.
- Cryo Archive Key Template: Stock decreased from 3 per week to 1 per week.
- Deluxe Weapon: Stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.
- Deluxe Backpack: Stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.
- Deluxe Shield Implant: Stock decreased from 3 per week to 2 per week.
Tier 2 Repeatable Offers
- Vault Keys 4, 5, and 6 will only be available for purchase during the second and third weeks of Vault Breaker.
Tier 2 Limited Offers
The following items will only be available during the second and third weeks of Vault Breaker:
- DRRVISH
- Salt Wages
- Apiarist
- Biotoxic Disinjector
- Biotoxic Disinjector Ammo
Upgrades
- All upgrades will be available for purchase from the start of the event.
Economy Changes
- Solo players will receive 50% more Tier 1 and Tier 2 event currency from Vault Breaker.
- Monitor scan XP has been reduced by 50%.
- Some Tier 3 standard contracts are not intended to be completed during Vault Breaker and will be unavailable during the event.
C.A.R.R.I.
- The C.A.R.R.I. Armory has returned and will run through the end of the Nightfall refresh.
Sponsored Night Marsh
- Sponsored Night Marsh will be available this weekend, starting Thursday, October 22.
Weapons
- Updated the description of the Repeater HPR to correctly state that it reloads two rounds at a time.
Codex
- Fixed an issue with the timing requirements for the Recon Trifecta Mastery challenge.
General
- Fixed an issue where Global Exfils appeared differently in profile stats when previewing different seasons.
- Fixed an issue where the profile stats page could sometimes appear blank.
