Marathon Update 1.024 Released as Hotfix 1.1.0.5 on July 9
While Bungie just released a game update for Marathon this past Tuesday, the studio has released a hotfix today, and this requires a client-side download.
Called patch version 1.1.0.5, console gamers will see the download appear as Marathon update 1.024 (complete version 1.024.000), and this is a small download.
Expect this to fix an issue with Solos, though don’t expect any new content or major balance changes to be part of it.
Marathon’s Hotfix on July 9 Fixes Solo Queue Issue
Per Bungie via Discord, “We’ve identified the root cause of the issue that can cause Solo Queue to not be selectable and actively working on a fix. We expect this fix to require some downtime to do an update to the game client and will let you know the details of the timing as soon as we can.”
For now, that’s the only info we have, and Bungie hasn’t shared a changelog. If we do get one, expect the article to be updated.
In other Bungie news, the studio is said to be a “toxic and dysfunctional” workplace, according to ex-Destiny 2 developers.
