Phasmophobia Update 1.000.047 Applies Bug Fixes on September 10

Phasmophobia Update 1.000.047

Kinetic Games has released Phasmophobia update 1.000.047 on all platforms, and this brings a slate of fixes targeting VR issues, cosmetics being a problem and more.

In terms of patches, this one resolves issues after the quality-of-life update that was released in July.

Read on for the official patch notes, as well as the known issues that are still plaguing the game that should get resolved soon.

Phasmophobia Update 1.000.047 Fixes Rolled Out on Sept. 10

New

  • Added a VR Belt Offset option to adjust the height to be either lower or higher.
  • Added more props and fingerprint interactions to Prison Entrance to assist with Ghost identification.

Change

  • Adjusted the position of the VR player’s hand to be a more comfortable position for the following equipment:
    • Tier 1 D.O.T.S Projector.
    • All Tiers of Flashlights.
    • All Tiers of Photo Cameras.
    • All Tiers of Video Cameras.
    • More equipment will be improved with future updates.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused several cosmetic items to cover the Watch.
    • Note: The Female Hooded Denim jacket will still overlap the Watch slightly. This will be addressed in a future update.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented several achievements completing and being awarded despite the player being on a custom difficulty with a multiplier of 0.
  • Fixed an issue that caused correct Evidence to be crossed out after using the ‘I Wish For Knowledge’ wish with the Monkey Paw.
  • Fixed an issue that caused various Ouija Board animations and interactions to break if the player opened the Journal during an answer.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Video Camera from being picked up off a Tripod by other players if another player had placed the Tripod.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Nell’s Diner safe from opening despite the correct code being entered.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Hiding Spots on Prison Restricted being unblocked despite No Hiding Spots being set.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a Video Camera’s screen to remain black for an entire contract if it was opened in the Truck before opening the door.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Video Camera screens to remain black if headgear was toggled while the screen was blacked out.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Video Camera screens to remain black if the journal was opened while the camera was inside a wall.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the player to spawn into a game as Amir Kelly with default cosmetics equipped, despite having another character or cosmetics selected.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Bone to spawn in locked Bathroom Stalls in Brownstone High School Restricted maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Fusebox to spawn in an inaccessible location on Prison Restricted.
  • Fixed an issue that caused character animations to break if the player cycled out or dropped a Tier 1 Photo Camera during the Use animation.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the player to become stuck on the chair in Classroom 6 of Brownstone High School.
  • Fixed an issue on PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles that caused players to be unable to use Voice Recognition if they had previously switched from Voice to Text, then back to Voice.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Equipment to be lost if placed on certain blockades of the new Restricted maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a double click on Ghost Selection in custom difficulty if using a controller.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented UV Fingerprints on 13 Willow Street and Nell’s Diner from being charged, preventing Photos being taken.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a door’s audio to not play correctly if a Ghost closed it.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Igniters to turn off if the player grabs a Firelight.
  • Fixed an issue that caused VR player profile pictures to be blank when they join a lobby.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Monkey Paw to spawn in the incorrect spot on Prison Restricted.
  • Fixed an issue for VR players where their Head Gear could fall off if another player closed a door on them.
  • Fixed an issue that caused headgear ownership to change when a PC and VR player are both interacting with the same door.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could hear the audio of the Journal opening when dying.
  • Fixed an issue that showed the incorrect room blocked off on the polaroid for Point Hope Restricted.
  • Fixed a visual issue causing part of the ground on Point Hope to appear white.
  • Fixed an issue in the Journal where a highlighted Evidence type would remain highlighted after closing the Journal.
  • Fixed an issue that caused duplicate player ID Cards to display on the lobby board when players join a session.
  • Fixed a visual issue with jackets on female character models that would show gaps in the equipped cosmetic.
  • Fixed an issue that caused poor performance on High School Restricted.
  • Fixed an issue that caused player audio to be muffled in Multiplayer if another player dropped the Parabolic Microphone immediately after turning it on.
  • Fixed an issue to prevent hackers from altering evidence money reward values.
  • VR – Fixed an issue affecting PSVR2 users that meant the UI pointer was titled downwards, needing the player to tilt their hand upwards to interact with the UI.
  • VR – Fixed an issue affecting PSVR2 where the player character would not move from the centre of the play space.
  • VR – Fixed an issue that caused dead bodies to contort upon death if the player had Immersive Animations turned on.

There are still a handful of issues that are plaguing the game:

  • Localised text for Evidence captured with a Video Camera may not display correctly for non-English players.
  • Enabling FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 causes readability issues with the Journal.
  • Can’t light placed Tier 1 Firelights with a lit firelight in your hand.
  • Firelights don’t blow out when thrown after they are cycled into the inventory.
  • Boombox in the lobby doesn’t always turn on.
  • There’s new safe spots in the Restricted maps caused by hiding behind the new objects blocking doors and hallways.
  • VR – Tier 1 D.O.T.S Projector can cause the character’s hand animation to rotate in unnatural ways.
  • Common crashes for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
