PS4 Update 14.00 Released on September 16 Brings More of What You Expect
While Sony released a beefy PS5 system update today that added new features, there’s also one out for the PS4. Given the console’s age, it’s understandable to keep expectations in check, as we’re not going to be getting any new features anytime soon.
Players can download PS4 update 14.00 today, and these system firmware patches are usually tied to security more than anything else.
PS4 System Update 14.00 Makes Things More Stable
All Sony has to say about today’s update is “We’ve improved system software performance and stability.”
Bear in mind, these system stability updates usually come with added security features on the backend as well, which prevents the console from being fully cracked.
With the PS6 already being discussed, don’t expect any new features for the PS4 anytime soon. It’s a wonder we’re still getting new games for it at all.
