The Division 2 TUY8S3.1

  • Red Moon Rising event: Runs Sept. 24–Nov. 3 in the PvE Dark Zone. Black Tusk take over, while players build Red Moon Stacks that provide buffs and drawbacks. Stacks are lost when dying, leaving the DZ, or securing contaminated loot.
  • Two new Exotics:
    • Vertigo — Exotic GR9 with a talent that applies Disorient when suppressing enemies and grants +30% Out-of-Cover Damage to you and allies for 15 seconds.
    • Sarru — Exotic Backpack that cycles through Moon phases, increasing Amplified Damage up to 25% during a Full Moon. Deploying a Decoy during Full Moon Overcharges it.
  • Recruiter returns: Defeating the Recruiter during Red Moon Rising awards his unique mask.
  • Rage Harvest Global Event: Returns Sept. 29–Oct. 6. Enemies have Overheal, while players build Rage to increase Weapon Damage, RPM, Weapon Handling, Crit Chance and Crit Damage.
  • Upcoming multiplier events:
    • Dark Zone Surge: 3x DZ XP and 2x DZ Funds.
    • Deadeye Overdrive: +60% Headshot Damage, +30% Weapon Damage, +40% Accuracy/Stability/Weakpoint Damage.
    • Countdown Surge: 2x Countdown Requisition.
  • PvP balancing: Adjustments affect Prototype Augments, Gear/Brand Sets, talents, Exotics and SHD Skills, including tuning for the new Vertigo and Sarru.
  • Modifier changes: Modular Plates now provide Shield regeneration instead of instantly restoring Shield health, while Signed, Shield, Delivered now also refills the equipped weapon’s magazine for free.
  • Zodiac Legacy Climax Mission improvements: More Munitions and Canisters are available, with the mission now starting players at 100 Munitions, 12 Canisters and 800 Sample Size.
  • Retaliation Project Chain returns: Starting Sept. 24, it will be available for another week with accelerated progression, unlocking projects every hour instead of daily.
  • Major bug fixes: Numerous PvP weapon/talent exploits and stacking issues were fixed, alongside Striker’s Gamble, Acosta’s Kneepads, several Prototype augments, PvP skills, missions, vendors, UI and connectivity.
  • Xbox/connectivity fixes: An issue preventing Xbox players from joining friends’ sessions was fixed, along with shots sometimes failing to register against moving NPCs under high latency.

Those who want to try before they buy, Ubisoft is holding a free play period for The Division 2 from September 24 to 28, and any progress you earn will carryover to the final version of the game if you do decide to buy it.

There’s also an Echoes of Central Park showcase set for later today that will feature what to expect from the upcoming premium DLC.

While there is a chance the outage might be extended, we aren’t expecting it. If it does, we’ll let our readers know by updating the article.
