Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Update 1.43 | 1.043 Drops on October 7 and Adds Undisclosed Data
SEGA has released Sonic Racing CrossWorlds update 1.43 | 1.043, and with the blue hedgehog’s 35th celebration event happening this Friday, some might have expected SEGA to roll out a slew of new content in the latest racing game.
Not only that, but on October 9, tomorrow, the CrossWorlds World Champion stream is also set to take off, which gave fans hope that new DLC or something was going to be rolled out.
Well, something did get released today via the title update, but it’s a mystery what it is — at least so far.
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Live-Service Data Rolled Out via Patch 1.43 | 1.043
The patch notes for the update is a pretty small one, and is kind of vauge too, as it states:
- Added data for upcoming live-service operations.
- Other minor bug fixes.
So far, the only thing confirmed to be new are new decals:
Of course, there is the chance that SEGA has included some nice goodies or even characters in the data, and they are waiting for the stream or celebrations to kick off before unleashing it.
That said, we are speculating at this point, which means that might lead to disapppointment if these decals are the only thing we’ll see that’s new.
Speaking of the celebration. SEGA has this to say for October 9.
“On October 9th, the portal to Club Chaos will open for a one night only immersive experience celebrating 35 years of Sonic!
Tune into the livestream from 7:30PM ET as host Jacki Jing takes viewers through the event featuring special performances from musical guests Thundercat, Austin Millz, and Tee Lopes, conversations with Sonic talent & creators, as well as sneak peeks and special announcements.”
Sonic fans will be able to watch it on YouTube as it happens.
At the very least, the World Championship Finals is confirmed ot include a Year Two showcase livestream, so even if the patch doesn’t bring anything tangible, we should see something be revealed.
