The Division 2 Down on October 15 for Red Moon Unleashed Event
Heads up, agents! Ubisoft has taken The Division 2 servers down on October 15, and this is to bring in a new event.
Players will be unable to connect to the game completely for a few hours as the devs conduct maintenance, and during this time, a new title update should be rolled out.

The Division 2 Downtime for October 15 Will Take a Long Time
Players will be kicked out of sessions and will be unable to connect starting from 9:30 am CEST/3:30 am EDT/12:30 am PDT/3:30 pm HKT.
Expect the downtime to last for five hours, and it sometimes goes past that. If it does, we’ll update the article to reflect that.
Players can expect this downtime to usher in a new title update, which is tagged by the developers as TUY8S3.2.
Here’s a rundown of the new stuff players can expect.
Red Moon Unleashed Event
- Limited-time event: Washington, D.C., is affected by fog, heavy storms, and Blood Storms.
- Free reward: All players who log in during the event receive the Bound Slasher Mask.
- Lunatic enemies: Some enemies gain increased damage and rate of fire, then explode upon death.
- Moon Cultists: Members of the Hyenas, True Sons, Outcasts, Black Tusk, and Underground appear as new enemy variants.
- New bosses: The Necromancer, Risen Hunter, and Bloody Houndsman offer exclusive masks, gear, and other rewards.
- Revenant Bounties: Six returning enemies have themed appearances and can drop Event Keys, Arm Patches, and Exotic rewards.
- Red Moon Altars: Players can destroy 20 altars around D.C. to earn loot from the Gear Cache reward pool. Each altar resets daily at 08:00 UTC.
New Weapons and Rewards
- Lichtenberg: A new Named Classic M1A rifle that rewards movement and headshots with stacking bonuses. At maximum stacks, its next shot deals bonus damage and shocks the target.
- Apparel Caches: Contain 43 items, including five outfits, weapon skins, and Red Moon dyes. Completing the collection unlocks The Necromancer Backpack Trophy.
- Community Challenge: Players contribute Event Keys toward shared rewards, including The Fool’s Light Jacket, Pants, and Lantern Mask.
- Personal rewards: Contributing up to 200 keys unlocks themed cosmetics, weapons, skins, and the Sinister Spells Backpack Trophy.
