Dying Light: The Beast Update 1.008.001 Adds New Audio Features
Techland has released a new game update for Dying Light: The Beast, and it adds new features, provided you have a headset.
Players will see the download appear as Dying Light: The Beast update 1.008.001, and this is a minor update in the sense that it doesn’t really add new content that can be played, but it’s something that players can experience.

Dying Light: The Beast Adds Embody Support on November 5
New Feature: Immerse Gamepack by Embody in Dying Light games
We’ve partnered with Embody to bring personalized 360° spatial audio to Dying Light 2: Stay Human and Dying Light: The Beast. Pinpoint approaching Infected above, behind, and around you with enhanced directional sound tuned to your ears and headphones.
- Enhanced Headphone Mode: Toggle the new feature via Settings > Audio > Enhanced Headphone Mode (optional; default audio remains unchanged when disabled).
- Universal Compatibility: Works with any standard stereo headphones or earbuds.
- 14-Day Free Trial: Enjoy full, unrestricted access across both games for 14 days directly from launch – no credit card or subscription required.
- Lifetime License: Continue using personalized spatial audio after the trial with an optional one-time purchase ($19.99 USD per platform)
Aside from this, there are no gameplay-related changes, and given how Techland seems to have moved on from The Beast, I wouldn’t expect future updates. But here’s to hoping.
