Call of Duty: WWII has been champion of the sales charts since its launch, and so it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that it was the best-selling game of 2017.
NPD tallied up the US results, also stating that December 2017 was “the eighth consecutive December that a Call of Duty franchise release has topped the sales charts.”
NPD’s Mat Piscatella tweeted out the results, along with other interesting stats for 2017. You can find the full Twitter thread here.

The campaign was great.. for about three days of gaming. Once it was over it was time to start the multiplayer. That … was a mistake. A day later i sold my copy of the game. The multiplayer is so bad. 10 square feet of map with a maximum of 6 players running circles to find 6 other players. None of the weapons have any resemblance of their real counterparts in handling. Tactics or strategy are non-existent here. Basicly the gun that shoots fastest wins while running around the whole time. Solid single player fun. Epic fail at multiplayer.
D’oh!
Are you looking forward to Treyarch’s Call of Duty 2018?
