Wishing Call of Duty a Happy Tenth Birthday!

Today marks a very special day for the guys and gals behind one of the most ground breaking series the gaming world has ever seen this generation.

Today, Call of Duty celebrates it’s tenth birthday.

And how fitting it is that the franchise’s seeds were first planted on October 29 back in the year 2003 by the very same studio currently gearing up for the release of the 10th official numbered title in the series and, once again, the first title to pave the way into an entirely new generation of Call of Duty.

Call of Duty has been in development at a number of studios since it’s inception, including the highly acclaimed Infinity Ward and Treyarch studios, along with teams like Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software, Neversoft and Beachhead Studios. The series has taken us to places both fictional and non-fictional where we’ve experience wars of the past, present and future.

This November 5, Infinity Ward aims to introduce us to an entirely new scenario and cast of characters, as well as to set the standard yet again for the most addicting first-person shooter experience of the upcoming generation with Call of Duty: Ghosts.

So, let’s pay homage to teams that have entertained you for an entire decade with both great single player moments and truly memorable multiplayer experiences.

To hit you with a bit of nostalgia, we’ve included the reveal trailer for all of the major Call of Duty releases below, starting at the year 2003 through to the year 2013. Check them out, and be sure to tell us in the comments which Call of Duty you think is most memorable. We look forward to your thoughts!
