If you’ve been wandering around the grounds of Hogwarts, chances are you’ve come across some chests with an eyeball on them. Don’t worry, it can’t hurt you (physically, at least,) but neither can you hurt it, which has prompted many to wonder, how do you open it? Well, worry not, as we tell you exactly how to open the eye chests in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Open Eye Chests in Hogwarts Legacy 

To open the eye chests, you’ll need to learn the disillusionment spell. You’ll learn this spell as part of the story progression. Alternatively, you could use an invisible potion. However, this method costs resources, whereas the spell is free to use once you learn it. 

Once you’ve gotten disillusionment, all you have to do is cast it and sneak up on the chest. It’s really that easy! Because the chest no longer sees you, it will no longer lock on itself, allowing you to open it.

Eye chests contain large sums of gold (500) and are one of the best ways to rack up money in Hogwarts Legacy, so be sure you open every one you come across, as the funds will be helpful to buy recipes, gear, and other items.
