007 First Light Opening Title Sequence Revealed and It’s Everything You Want Out of a Bond Theme
Ah, yes, it wouldn’t be a 007 adventure without its own theme song and Bond-esque opening, and well, IO Interactive’s 007 First Light has just that, as the studio revealed the title sequence today. But what comes as a big surprise to many is that it’s being performed by none other than Lana Del Ray, who, by the way, actually recorded a Bond theme for the film Specter but was sadly rejected in favor of another performer. So here it is, finally, her new original Bond theme for 007 First Light.
Oh, and did we forget to mention that legendary composer, David Arnold, who worked on the score of five previous Bond films, is making his comeback to the franchise with 007 First Light?
The World is Not Enough to Contain Our Excitement for First Light
Not bad, not bad at all. Getting a lot of Tomorrow Never Dies and The World is Not Enough vibes, which is no surprise considering that David Arnold scored those, along with three other Bond films. Music, of course, has always played a pivotal role in Bond films, and we’re glad to see that IO Interactive is putting a big focus on it. In fact, the latest “Beyond the Light” episode is all about the game’s music.
007 First Light arrives on May 27, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version set to arrive this Summer.
