2K Games Set to Announce New Franchise Later This Month

Looks like Take-Two Interactive is prepping its fanbase with an exciting announcement to come for one of their labels, as 2K Games is set to announce a new franchise later this month — bringing a new IP to their growing library of games.

As part of Take-Two’s latest quarterly financial report, the company just announced its first quarter results which includes sales on Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 — and also teased that they were prepared to make an announcement for their 2K label, but it wasn’t quite clear what that game was. Other signs may point to one of their delayed titles — but nothing is concrete until an official announcement is made by the company.

Sales for Take-Two have dipped compared to the first quarter of the pandemic, but the publisher has stated that it wasn’t as bad as they were expecting — with GTA 5, GTA Online, RDR 2, Red Dead Online, and Borderlands helping drive their sales figures up. In fact, GTA 5 sold 150 million units since launch and RDR 2 sold 38 million — which we reported and you can read about in detail here.

At the moment, Take-Two is holding strong with their properties and have an extensive library of games under their labels such as Rockstar Games and 2K Games. You can check out their catalog at their official website here.
