Kicking off Microsoft’s media briefing at E3 2015, Halo developer 343 Industries took the stage to not only reveal Halo 5: Guardian‘s drop-in, drop-out co-op campaign, but also a brand new multiplayer mode the studio is calling Warzone.
First, have a look at the squad-based combat present in Halo 5’s campaign in a single-player level featuring Spartan Locke’s squad of Spartan-IV’s.
The newly announced Warzone mode promises 24-player battles, AI adversaries, massive environments, and maps that are four times the size of your average Halo map. It will launch alongside Halo 5: Guardian’s 8-player Arena Multiplayer mode, offering a contrasting experience that highlights the entire Halo sandbox. Here’s a first look at Warzone.
According to 343, Warzone is playable on the E3 2015 show floor.
Halo 5: Guardians launches on Xbox One October 27.
