A new epic collaboration is coming, with Bandai Namco announcing an Ace Combat 7 Top Gun Maverick DLC featuring aircraft from the upcoming movie! A sequel to the 1986 classic, Top Gun Maverick stars Tom Cruise, who also starred in the original, and featuring a new cast of characters as well. The collaboration release date is yet to be announced, but it will be a tie-in to the movie for its impending release.

As per the official JP site for the collaboration DLC, here are some more details on the Ace Combat 7 Top Gun Maverick DLC:

The dream collaboration between this work and the latest popular flight shooting game “ACE COMBAT ™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN”, which has shipped over 16 million units in the series, has been realized! [F / A-18E Super Hornet] and [F / A-18E Super Hornet] appearing in the movie “ACE COMBAT ™ 7: SKIES UNKNOWN – TOP GUN: Maverick Aircraft Set-“, which is a paid download content scheduled to be delivered this spring. [F-14A Tomcat] and other two types of fighters that represent “Top Gun” will appear as playable aircraft. In addition to content such as collaboration emblems that can be used in the game, there is also a “Chest Heat” specification that is coveted by “Top Gun” fans who can enjoy that “Top Gun Anthem” (arranged by Keiki Kobayashi ver.) As BGM in multiplayer! Please look forward to this collaboration without any mistake that you can enjoy the world view of the movie that is about to be released!
