Alan Wake 2 is out tomorrow, and by all accounts, it’s an incredible horror experience. Ahead of launch, developer Remedy has confirmed that a New Game Plus mode will be arriving in Alan Wake 2 sometime in the future.

In a tweet posted on the official Alan Wake 2 Twitter account yesterday, the team announced that New Game Plus is on its way to the game:
New Game+ coming after launch.
🕹️ Retain all unlocked weapons and upgrades.
🕹️ New Nightmare difficulty level.
🕹️ New alternative narrative, including new Manuscript pages and new video content.Exact release timing still TBD. #alanwake pic.twitter.com/x1GNHYQu7q

According to the tweet, the new mode will feature a harder difficulty level with brand-new story content in the form of new Manuscript pages and new video content. Additionally, any weapons and their respective upgrades from previous playthroughs will be available from the start.
There’s currently no release date set for this mode. Given that it contains an alternative narrative, there’s a chance it could take a little longer than updates like this typically do. Hopefully it arrives before the end of the year.
